Fuel Management

Monitoring fuel consumption and economy is animportant factor when managing a fleet. When fueltransactions recorded into FMS Smart Mobilityportal, numerous fuel statistics calculations areperformed that will help show you trends in wearand abuse of your vehicle. This fuel trackingsoftware can print out detailed reports so that youknow where you stand at any given time

  • Provides information about current fuel volume in the tank.
  • Calculates the number of events fuel filled events, quantity and time.
  • Helps to detect the fuel misuse.
  • Improves and eliminates the idling of the equipment.

Fuel Consumption

The amount of fuel used per a unit of distance; most commonly, liters per 100 kilometers (L/100 km). Lower value means better fuel consumption (less fuel to travel the same distance)

Fuel Economy

The distance traveled per unit of fuel used; most commonly known as kilometers per liter (km/L). Higher value means travelling further for the same amount of fuel.

CO2 Emission

The amount of carbon dioxide produced because of the combustion process, typically measured in grams of CO2 per kilometer (CO2 g/km).

Light Vehicle Fuel Management Solution

(To know more about the following options, you may consult our Technical Engineers.)

Option 1: OBD II

Benefits:

  • Plugs directly to the OBD II with high compatibility across vehicle models
  • Provides accurate information with early diagnosis of complications
  • No external Fuel level sensors required & easy to install
  • Results in massive fuel savings and reduced operational costs
  • Prevents fuel pilferages, theft or leaks

Option 2: Algorithm

Benefits:

  • Provides estimated fuel consumption by algorithms on the web-based software
  • Algorithm considers idling time, distance travelled, user defined mileage of the vehicle, etc
  • No external fuel level sensors required

Heavy Vehicle Fuel Management Solution

(To know more about the following options, you may consult our Technical Engineers.)

Option 1: CAN Bus (J1939)

Benefits:

  • Plugs directly to the OBD II Port with high compatibility across vehicle models
  • Provides accurate information with early diagnosis of complications
  • No external Fuel level sensors required & easy to install
  • Results in massive fuel savings and reduced operational costs
  • Prevents fuel pilferages, thefts or leaks

Option 2: Fuel Level Sensor

Benefits:

  • Provides accurate fuel levels by fuel sensor rod installed in the fuel tank integrated with the IVMS device
  • Real time and historical information without manual entry for refueling
  • Prevents fuel pilferages, thefts or leaks
  • Results in massive fuel savings and reduced operational costs
  • Customizable with any shape/size of the fuel tank

Option 3: Algorithm

Benefits:

  • Provides estimated fuel consumption by algorithms on the web-based software
  • Algorithm considers idling time, distance travelled, user defined mileage of the vehicle, etc.
  • No external fuel level sensors required

Fueling Station Monitoring Solution

Diesel Tank

BEFORE Installing FMS Tech.
Fuel Tank System

  • Anyone with the key to the lock can dispense fuel from the tank.
  • No control over who use the fuel tank.
  • No accurate measurement of fuel usage on daily basis
  • Easy to break the lock.
  • Manual work to check the amount of fuel in the tank for refueling.
  • Can’t plan for next refueling.
  • Very primitive and old fashion way of managing fuel tank.
  • High tendency for fuel theft and fraud.

AFTER Installing FMS Tech.
Fuel Tank System

  • Accurate recording of fuel level and fuel discharge on daily basis.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
  • The system is linked with the fleet management system from FMS Tech.
  • Each tank will be equipped with fuel level sensor and FMS Tech.
  • Telematics/Asset Management device to record fuel level every second and amount of fuel used in each transaction.
  • Full control on refueling and discharge.
  • Remote monitoring of fuel level.
  • RFID Card Access System control access to the pump/nozzle.
  • Access to nozzle only to authorized personnel (Driver or watchman with valid RFID card).

Gasoline Tank

BEFORE Installing FMS Tech.
Fuel Tank System

  • No Control
  • No Track on the access control
  • Access to nozzle through traditional lock
  • Easy to break the lock
  • No recording of gas refueling or discharge

AFTER Installing FMS Tech.
Fuel Tank System

  • Full Control of access to nozzle and fuel discharge
  • Accurate Recording of fuel discharge and filling
  • Valve and Flow Meter are interestingly safe
  • RFID Card Access System
  • Fuel Level Sensor
